The genre of the Real Fiction Experience was born.
brot & salz translated the groundbreaking literature-music mash-up concept into an interactive online and social media experience with a creepy guarantee. In a specially created online game, fans and followers were able to win nothing less than their own abduction at the official "Playlist" premiere in Berlin.

The official website for "Playlist" was the hub of the Real Fiction Experience. In the first campaign phase, the artists who contributed their songs to "Playlist" were announced one by one. When advance sales began, the online game was then activated in three stations and linked to Sebastian Fitzek's social media channels in a cross-channel challenge. Several hundred thousand fans became part of the campaign, which was new in the literary world.


Win your own kidnapping!
Game master Sebastian Fitzek himself welcomed the brave gamers to the ultimate online "Playlist" challenge. In POV perspective, clues had to be found and puzzles about the mysterious van had to be solved in order to save the girl. Bloodstained bricks, iPod passwords, a car radio with a life of its own, crowbars and combination locks stood between the fan investigators and the main prize: their own kidnapping at the official "Playlist" premiere in Berlin.

The dark side of Nikolassee.
The Berlin suburb of Nikolassee, the original scene of the kidnapping in the book, served as the setting for the game and web design of the official Playlist website and for the content creation for the "Playlist" social media campaign. Blood and fog included.
